Founded by owner and stylist Alii Wray in 2015, blk. started as a four-chair salon in Pittsgrove before quickly outgrowing its space and moving to Sewell. Today, our location features a 2,000-square-foot salon and 1,800-square-foot spa, serving guests throughout Washington Township, Mantua, Deptford, Glassboro and surrounding South Jersey communities.

Education is at the heart of blk. Our artists continually train in the latest color, cutting, extension and styling techniques while working with professional brands including Wella Professionals, Sebastian Professional, Maria Nila, Design Me, Kevin Murphy and Briogeo.

Booking Information
Thank you for choosing blk. Salon & Spa! For you convenience, appointments can be made over the phone, Instagram, Facebook, and our online booking! Online booking requests are not guaranteed appointments. Your appointment request will be responded to by your stylist for either approval or rescheduling. During the booking process, you will be asked a few questions about your hair to determine an estimate of the time and technique required to achieve your desired goal. Based on this information a complimentary consultation may or may not be required before booking a color appointment.
All corrective color services will require an in-salon consultation!
Cancellation Policy
We are incredibly grateful to our clients for making our business as busy as we have become! Out of respect for our clients' time, as well as our staff, we have started requiring deposits for new clients, as well as clients who have a history of no-show/short notice cancellations. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us within a minimum of 2 full business days notice (48 hours). For instance, if your appointment is scheduled for a Friday, we ask that you contact us before closing on Wednesday! This allows us to try and offer the appointment slot to other clients on our wait list! We completely understand life happens sometimes and exceptions can be made based off staff discretion! At this time, we are NOT accepting cancellations through our automated confirmation texts. Please make sure to contact us directly via phone or social media for all cancellations or rescheduling!
